Just before Christmas I was up at the slavery museum in Liverpool looking at the introduction of SenseMaker to make sense of narrative fragments collected directly from the visitors after they had viewed the exhibits. I found the museum display extremely thought provoking, unsettling and full of shocks and surprises about our often hidden past.
One of the aims is for the visitors stories and reactions to the material to become a living part of the exhibition and the existing cards that have been completed by young visitors were fascinating. Take these two cards which sum up for me how such different perspectives can exist and how interesting the captured material will be to analyse, especially when it is self-signified at source.
